Executives at C-level or director level who are considering their next career step rarely face a lack of options – but rather the question of which option really holds up. This is exactly where my work comes in.
Whom I support
I support experienced executives and top talent who want to shape their careers deliberately and find the right next position – with substance, responsibility and perspective. People who are not looking for just any change, but the right one: a role that fits their personality, values and ambitions.
Career advisory and executive search – two perspectives, one approach
In my work, I combine career advisory and executive search. This is more than a methodological combination – it is a change of perspective that makes the difference.
As a career advisor, I see the person: their strengths, development areas and goals. As an executive search consultant, I know the other side of the table: what do supervisory boards, shareholders and management teams really look for? What requirements do decision-makers place on candidates at C-level and director level today – spoken and unspoken?
This dual perspective ensures that skills, values and ambitions come together optimally with the right organisation. Because however attractive a position may be on paper – if culture, mandate and personality do not fit, the career step quickly becomes a detour.
My standard: sparring on an equal footing
No standardised conversations. No ready-made career paths. No feedback that only aims to please.
Instead: honest sparring on an equal footing. I question assumptions, analyse positioning and give feedback that moves you forward – even when it is uncomfortable. Experienced executives in particular rarely receive unfiltered feedback in their own environment. Yet that is exactly the basis for good decisions.
Lasting success does not come from the another impressive job title, but when personality and role truly fit together.
What decision-makers look for today
Through my experience in numerous mandates, I know the requirements at C-level and director level precisely. Professional excellence is taken for granted – today other factors make the difference: leadership maturity in transformation, an understanding of governance, cultural fit and the ability not only to carry responsibility but to shape it visibly.
Those who know these expectations can position themselves in a targeted way – and come across differently in conversations with decision-makers.
